As the head brewer at a local brewery in Summerland, BC, I recently returned to British Columbia following a 12-year tenure in Toronto.
With 8 years of professional fermentation experience and a 15-year history in Canada's food and beverage community,

Giant's Head Brewery distinguishes itself through a commitment to community engagement. Our brewing philosophy revolves around catering to customer preferences, ensuring the production of the freshest and most appealing beers for the Summerland and BC markets.

General Manager
Born and raised in British Columbia, I spent over 15 years immersed in the restaurant industry, honing my culinary skills after training as a chef at the Art Institute of Vancouver. In 2016, I relocated to the picturesque Okanagan to further refine my craft and embrace family life.
The Okanagan, with its vibrant food and beverage scene, offered the perfect backdrop for my culinary journey to unfold. Venturing into the brewing industry in 2021, we established Giants Head Brewing, overcoming a steep learning curve through extensive research. Summerland, our chosen starting point, has proven to be an ideal location with unwavering support from the community.
I take pride in the exceptional experiences my dedicated staff and I offer to enthusiasts of both fine food and beer. The camaraderie within the beer community has been invaluable; whenever I sought guidance, fellow brewers generously stepped in.
Being part of this community is truly fulfilling, and I am committed to paying it forward.
Tim
Kitchen Manager

Raised in a family of chefs, Tim Wheeldon was practically destined for the kitchen. He got his start at just ten years old, helping with his mom’s catering company in Castlegar and quickly falling in love with the craft. Growing up in the Kootenays, he developed a deep appreciation for fresh, local ingredients — from trout and wild game to seasonal produce straight from the source.

After earning his Red Seal at SAIT and achieving his Certified Master Chef designation from the Culinary Institute of Canada, Tim brought his talent to the Okanagan in 2023.
Now the Kitchen Manager at Giants Head Brewing, he leads the kitchen with creativity, precision, and a passion for bold, locally inspired flavours — perfectly paired with great beer and good company.
